Accumulation Swing Index
The Accumulation Swing Index corresponds to the cumulative sum of the Swing Index indicator.
It was developed by J. Welles Wilder Jr and detailed in his book New Concepts in Technical Trading Systems.
Example
Interpretation
Like most accumulation indicators, the
Accumulation Swing Index attempts to interpret market
intentions. According to Wilder, "somewhere between the open, the high, the low, and the close lies
a fictional line that is the true market". The
Accumulation Swing Index tries to show this fictional line.
